Corvette Protection FAQ
Answers to the most common questions about protecting and styling your Corvette.
Your Corvette Protection Questions, Answered
Navigating the world of Paint Protection Film, Ceramic Coatings, and Window Tint can be overwhelming. As Southern California's premier Corvette protection specialists, we hear the same questions from new owners every day.
We've compiled this comprehensive FAQ to give you transparent, honest answers about how to best protect your vehicle, what the installation process looks like, and how to maintain the finish long-term.
Understanding Protection Types
PPF (Paint Protection Film) is a thick, physical barrier that stops rock chips and scratches. Ceramic Coating is a liquid chemical barrier that provides extreme gloss, UV protection, and makes washing easy, but it WILL NOT stop rock chips. You need PPF for physical impact protection.
The CDA Difference
Not all PPF installations are equal. Volume dealerships often use pre-cut kits that leave exposed edges, collecting dirt over time. We specialize in custom, bulk-cut installations where we wrap the film around the edges of the panels, making the protection virtually invisible.
When to Protect
The best time to protect your Corvette is immediately after delivery. The drive home from the dealership on the 91 or 15 freeway is enough to cause permanent rock chips. We recommend scheduling your installation before you even take delivery.
