Why Is Tesla Paint Vulnerable?
Modern Teslas use water-based, eco-friendly paint systems. While better for the environment, these paints are generally softer and more prone to rock chips, bug etching, and swirl marks than older solvent-based paints. The aerodynamic, grille-less front end of a Tesla also acts like a scoop for road debris.

PPF vs. Ceramic Coating
Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a thick, self-healing urethane layer that physically stops rock chips and scratches. Ceramic Coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to the paint, making it incredibly glossy and easy to clean, but it does NOT stop rock chips. For maximum protection, we recommend combining both.
