You've invested in the best protection available for your Corvette. Now, how do you maintain it? The great news is that PPF and Ceramic Coatings make washing your car significantly easier.

However, improper washing techniques can still damage the film or degrade the coating. Automated car washes with spinning brushes are strictly forbidden.

Always use two buckets: one with soapy water and one with clean water for rinsing your wash mitt. This prevents you from rubbing dirt back into the paint. Use a high-quality microfiber wash mitt and a pH-neutral automotive shampoo.

Never use rough towels or water blades. Use a plush, clean microfiber drying towel or, ideally, a forced-air car dryer (like a leaf blower) to blow the water out of the Corvette's many vents, grilles, and crevices.

While your protection provides a chemical barrier, you should still remove bug guts and bird droppings as soon as possible. Use a dedicated detail spray and a clean microfiber cloth. Never scrub aggressively.

You can use a pressure washer, but NEVER point the wand directly at the edges of the PPF. Keep the tip at least 12 to 18 inches away from the surface to avoid lifting the film.
