ADVANCED WINDSHIELD PROTECTION FOR RIVERSIDE DRIVERS
SEE CLEAR.
DRIVE CONFIDENT.
WHY MODERN VEHICLES NEED GLASS PROTECTION
Replacing a windshield on a Tesla, Porsche, or modern luxury vehicle isn't just about the glass anymore. It requires expensive recalibration of the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Driving the 91, 15, or 215 freeways in Southern California means constant exposure to kicked-up rocks, gravel, and construction debris. Our windshield protection film absorbs the impact of these projectiles, saving you time, money, and the massive hassle of dealing with insurance claims and recalibration appointments.
Absorbs heavy impacts that would normally crack or chip the glass
Prevents expensive windshield replacements and ADAS recalibrations
Maintains perfect optical clarity without visual distortion
Highly hydrophobic – rain and water bead right off
Backed by a leading 2-Year Warranty from Profection Technology
HOW WINDSHIELD FILM WORKS
Windshield protection film is essentially Paint Protection Film (PPF) specifically engineered for glass. It utilizes advanced polymers to provide maximum impact resistance while remaining completely invisible to the driver.

Impact Absorption
The multi-layer urethane construction acts as a shock absorber. When a rock hits your windshield at 70mph, the film disperses the kinetic energy, preventing the sharp point of the rock from piercing the glass surface.

Optical Clarity
Unlike older generations of film that would yellow or create a "wavy" distortion, our modern Profection Technology film is optically clear. You won't even know it's there, and it won't interfere with your ADAS cameras.

Hydrophobic Surface
The top coat of the film is highly hydrophobic. Rain, sleet, and snow bead up and roll right off the glass, drastically improving your visibility during inclement weather and reducing the need to use your wipers constantly.
OUR INSTALLATION PROCESS
Installing film on curved glass requires extreme precision and skill. Our certified technicians at CDA Auto Styling follow a meticulous process to ensure a flawless, invisible installation that will last for years.
Deep Decontamination
We thoroughly clean and clay bar the windshield to remove all embedded contaminants, sap, and hard water spots, ensuring a perfectly smooth surface for the film to bond to.
Heat Shrinking
Because windshields are curved, the flat film must be carefully heat-shrunk to match the exact curvature of your specific vehicle's glass before installation.
Wet Application & Squeegee
The film is applied using a specialized slip solution. Our technicians systematically squeegee the fluid out, locking the adhesive to the glass without any trapped air or dust.
Edge Trimming & Curing
The edges are micro-trimmed to the exact perimeter of the glass. The vehicle is then kept in our climate-controlled shop to allow the adhesive to properly cure.

WINDSHIELD FILM VS CERAMIC COATING
Many detailers claim that applying a ceramic coating to your windshield will prevent rock chips. This is 100% false. Here is the reality of glass protection.
CDA Auto Styling also supports selected partner businesses through the shieldid partnership program, a CDA-backed network designed to create more trust and transparency for vehicle protection clients.
Ceramic Glass Coating
- ✕ Provides ZERO impact resistance against rocks
- ✕ Will not stop cracks, chips, or pitting
- ✓ Makes glass highly hydrophobic (water rolls off)
- ✓ Makes bug splatter easier to clean
Verdict: Great for visibility in the rain, useless for stopping rock chips.
Windshield Protection Film
- True impact resistance against heavy freeway debris
- Prevents expensive replacements and ADAS recalibration
- Built-in hydrophobic top coat (water rolls off)
- Absorbs sand-blasting and micro-pitting over time
Verdict: The only way to actually protect your glass from breaking.
WINDSHIELD FILM FAQS
Will windshield protection film affect my wiper blades?
No. The film is incredibly smooth, and your wipers will glide over it easily. However, we do recommend keeping your wiper blades clean and replacing them regularly, as old, hardened rubber can cause micro-scratches on the film over time.
Can I take my car through a car wash with windshield film?
We strongly recommend 100% hand washing only. Automated car washes with spinning brushes can scratch the film (and your paint). Touchless washes are generally safe, but hand washing is always the best way to maintain the life of the film.
How long does windshield protection film last?
Depending on how much you drive and how the vehicle is stored, the film typically lasts 1 to 3 years. It is a sacrificial layer designed to take the beating so your glass doesn't have to. When it gets pitted or scratched, we simply remove it and install a fresh piece, which is much cheaper than replacing a windshield.
Is it legal to put film on the outside of my windshield?
Yes. Windshield protection film is completely optically clear and does not tint or darken the glass, making it perfectly legal for application on the exterior of the windshield.
Will it interfere with my toll pass or ADAS cameras?
Not at all. The film does not contain any metals or dyes that would interfere with radio frequencies (like toll passes) or optical sensors (like lane departure cameras or Tesla Autopilot).

Real World Paint Protection Film Proof
Watch as we remove Paint Protection Film that saved a vehicle's paint from severe rock damage.
Transcript: In this demonstration, you can see severe rock impacts that hit the front bumper of this vehicle. By peeling back the damaged Paint Protection Film, we reveal pristine, untouched factory paint underneath. This is the real-world value of PPF—sacrificing the film so your paint doesn't have to be repainted.
Protection Proof:
The Film Took the Damage — Not the Paint
This is what paint protection film is designed for. A real CDA Auto Styling client hit something, the PPF absorbed the impact, and the original paint underneath stayed protected.
A client came back after the paint protection film was damaged from impact. The film showed the damage — but that is exactly the point. PPF is designed to sacrifice itself before your factory paint does.
Instead of repainting the panel, blending nearby panels, losing factory originality, and potentially affecting resale value, the damaged film can usually be removed and replaced in the affected area.
That is the difference between protection that simply looks good and protection that actually does its job.
Without PPF
- Impact reaches the painted panel
- Repaint may require blending
- Factory paint originality can be lost
- More downtime
- Potential resale value impact
With PPF
- Film absorbs the damage
- Original paint stays protected
- Damaged section can be replaced
- Faster recovery in many cases
- Helps preserve factory finish and resale value
